The main temple is dark, mysterious and powerfully atmospheric. The people were spinning their prayer wheels and chanting Om Mani Padme Hum three times with each breath. The altar is the usual jumble of butter lamps, vases of plastic flowers, masks, tinsel and photos of the Dalai Lama.
